NRC’s Whitewater Discovery project introduces underserved families in rural Appalachia to whitewater recreation — our kids are building a life-long appreciation for pushing themselves to achieve and explore in the outdoors by discovering the rivers right here in their backyard. $25,000 would provide equipment, transportation, and upgraded facilities, enabling us to expand our outreach, provide a healthy outlet for kids and families, and simply get kids outside.
