Built to Henrik Harlaut’s exact specifications, the Armada Al Dente is one of our favorite freestyle skis this season.
The day I took the Al Dente to the park, they had just groomed some fresh snow so we had pretty soft conditions. As someone who spends a fair amount of time in the park, I liked pretty much everything about this ski. The flex pattern is soft but still stable, and it’s a little wider than a traditional park ski, so they are still fun to ride when you want to get out of the park and rip around on the mountain. In a ski area that sees less than 300 inches of snow fall a year, I wouldn’t hesitate to make the Al Dente my one-ski quiver.
The AR nose rocker profile has just the right blend of underfoot camber with rocker in the tips. The camber gave me plenty of pop for getting onto rails and setting up for jumps, and the nose rocker gives this ski an element of all-mountain versatility that you don’t find in a lot of park skis. The Al Dente also has beefy 2.2mm edges, which in my opinion are necessary for a park ski.
The Al Dente is 131mm in the tip/ 96mm underfoot/ and 119mm in the tail. It has Armada’s AR Nose Rocker profile, a medium-soft flex pattern, and the S7 base that’s super durable and easy to maintain.
If your looking for a high performance park ski that can still get the job done out on the mountain, I’d check out the Armada Al Dente
