The Arbor Coda is a freeride board designed to take on everything from technical steeps to backcountry booters, and everything in between. It has a Mountain Twin shape so you can stomp switch landings in powder, and Arbor’s big mountain System rocker is more rockered between the bindings and less rockered towards the tips to give it float in pow and a catch-free feel without sacrificing stability. The Grip Tech sidecut features two additional contact points for reliable edge hold.
A blend of poplar and bamboo in the core makes this board light, poppy, and strong. Bamboo also makes an appearance in the topsheet, where it replaces toxic plastics to not only make the board more environmentally-friendly, but poppier and more responsive as well.
I was lucky enough to get to ride the Coda on fresh pow day at a surprisingly empty Brighton Resort and it was a blast. It floated effortlessly in the fresh stuff, plowed through chunder, and handled smoothly on groomers.
The Coda’s versatility is what makes it so great. Between the rockered profile, medium flex, and centered stance, it’s capable of handling pretty much any type of terrain you want to ride whether it’s at the resort or in the backcountry. If you like to cruise the entire mountain, the Arbor Coda is the board for you.
