Why we chose Jennifer: As a lifelong lover of Specialized and mountain biking we knew that we had to talk to Jennifer. She has a passion for all things cycling and has gotten her entire family out on bikes. She is an active member of her cycling community, is involved in a women’s mountain bike team and teaches young girls to mountain bike. She is so passionate about riding that she creates youtube videos to promote women riding and is helping to raise money to get a bike park built in her home town. We know that her drive to get more women on bikes is going to be a huge boost to the ambassador program.
We know that women are most influenced by their peers — women in their community that they admire. In 2013 we have launched our own Specialized Women Ambassador Program after seeing the success of programs like Burton Girls and the Lululemon Ambassadors. We have selected five women that are leaders within their community that will help to break down the barriers that prevent women from getting on bikes.
