Why we chose Carrie: Carrie’s application made it very clear that she had a great sense of humor and a drive to share cycling with others. What Started for her with an interest in marathons has transformed into a full-fledged cycling obsession. Carrie loves all things cycling from long endurance rides to getting a PR in a triathlon and now shares that love with others through her multisport training company called FOMO Training. She is already actively out in the Austin community helping women to lose weight, get fit and accomplish their goals. Carrie has already hit the ground running with the ambassador program and we cant wait to see what she and her Amira can accomplish in the next year.
We know that women are most influenced by their peers — women in their community that they admire. In 2013 we have launched our own Specialized Women Ambassador Program after seeing the success of programs like Burton Girls and the Lululemon Ambassadors. We have selected five women that are leaders within their community that will help to break down the barriers that prevent women from getting on bikes.
