Designed in collaboration with Louif Paradis, the Villain is one of the most popular boards in Salomon’s freestyle line.
The Villain starts with a sustainably harvested aspen core that’s laid up with carbon stringers to deliver the maximum in energy return and pop. The Rock Out Camber profile is flat between the feet for a loose park friendly feel, cambered near the feet for powerful response when you need it, and the rockered tip and tail work with the medium-soft flex for easy presses.
Then you add in some special tech that’s geared specifically for the park. Two rubber blocks are inserted into the high pressure zones of the sidewalls to dampen vibration and reduce fatigue in every type of snow condition, and the sintered base keeps thing fast on even the slushiest days. Before leaving the factory, the villain also receives a freestyle edge bevel. The tip and tail are detuned so you won’t get hooked up on the rails, while key areas of the sidecut receive a 2-degree bevel for edge holding power where you need it the most.
If you spend most days in the park and need a tested and proven board to get the job done, be sure to check out the Salomon Villain.
