The Salomon Q-lab combines the inner construction of their race skis with a freeride inspired shape to produce a true one-ski-quiver.
The Q-lab starts with the race inspired S-core; alternating stripes of poplar and ash deliver enormous edge grip and stability on the groomers, and two layers of titanium reinforcement further improve off-trail performance with powerful stability and response.
It’s 138 mm in the tip, a versatile 104 mm underfoot, and 127 in the tail. The Utility Rocker shape has been optimized for all-mountain performance and the early rise rockered tip provides ample float for the deep days.
Not only is the tip rockered, it has a hook-free tapered shape that allows for effortless turn initiation and the honeycomb construction substantially cuts swing weight. This makes the ski easy to control and maneuver with improved dampening and shock resistance.
For intermediate to advanced skiers who need a ski that’s just as good on springtime groomers as it is on a Wasatch powder day, the Salomon Q-Lab is a great way to go.
