To borrow Nitro’s own words, the Glory Stomper was designed to make “not landing a thing of the past.”
To make the Glory Stomper the ideal board for riding park, Nitro made sure their best tech and materials went into the build. The board uses the Flatout rocker profile; a shape that’s flat underfoot with early rise rocker in the nose and tail. Power Pods extend the boards width under the bindings to boost edge control as well as eliminate toe and heel drag, and the medium-soft urban flex has been tuned in just right for jib sessions. They also included their super burly RailKiller Edges that double the strength and impact resistance of a standard edge- giving you extra durability for rails, boxes, and urban features.
The day I tested the Glory Stomper we had sunny skies and warm spring temperatures that were perfect for a day of park laps. I immediately noticed how quick the board was from edge to edge, the Power Pods made it really easy to hold an edge and turn on a dime when necessary.
The Flatout rocker shape is great for rails and it made it easy to get a good clean press. The shape also made it easy to hold a hard edge and stay stable when bombing into some of the bigger jumps. To me, the flex felt just right for park riding; soft enough to be comfortable and forgiving, but stiff enough to provide the snap needed for ollies.
If you’re the type of park rider who’s willing to try a trick until it’s stomped, and who needs a board that’s equal parts performance and durability, the Nitro Glory Stomper is just what you’re looking for.
